New ‘dug outs’ have been installed adjacent to the main pitch in front of the grandstand at Warwick Road.
The shelters are of a high standard and we are grateful that most of the cost has been offset by generous sponsorship from Scottish & Newcastle Breweries and Thomas Graham & Sons (Iron & Steel Stockholders), Carlisle.
Special thanks to BARRY ISRAEL who gave up a day of his time to erect them, ably (or maybe not) assisted by Bill Swarbrick & David Atkinson.
The ‘dug outs’ put the array of bus shelters in the city to shame - but the 76 service will still not be calling at Warwick Road - so no need for a sign on these shelters!
