New ‘dug outs’ have been installed adjacent to the main pitch in front of the grandstand at Warwick Road.

The shelters are of a high standard and we are grateful that most of the cost has been offset by generous sponsorship from Scottish & Newcastle Breweries and Thomas Graham & Sons (Iron & Steel Stockholders), Carlisle.

Special thanks to BARRY ISRAEL who gave up a day of his time to erect them, ably (or maybe not) assisted by Bill Swarbrick & David Atkinson.

The ‘dug outs’ put the array of bus shelters in the city to shame    but the 76 service will still not be calling at Warwick Road    so no need for a sign on these shelters!
