James sufferred a serious ankle and leg injury during the victory over Penrith at Warwick Road on Saturday, 2nd November  –  they always say success comes at a price, but this cost is one that we, and particularly James, could do without.

The Club are grateful for the expert attention James received in the immediate aftermath of the incident. Claire Mowbray, the club physiotherapist, was superb and she was helped by James’ mum. a local GP, who was in the crowd.

The Club would also like to express their gratitude to another doctor who came from the crowd to help stabilise James’ condition pending the arrival of an ambulance.

James has been an inspiration since breaking into the 1st XV last season, and we know that the courage and nerve that his team mates respect him for, will help him to recover from his bad luck.

We know it will be a while James, but we all look forward to the day you can play again.
