We Will Remember Him

This is the time of the year when we remember those who gave their lives in service of their country. In 2008, Private David Murray, who was a prominent member of our Colts XV died on active service in Afghanistan, so this year rememberance of the fallen has a particular significance to Carlisle RFC.
We remember him with affection and our thoughts are with his close family and friends as they too remember him with pride.
How poignant that he should die in the poppy fields of Afghanistan!
The Royal British Legion do a fine job in support of families of the fallen, and they very much depend on the collection of monies for poppies, thus enabling them to carry our their sterling work.
Please give generously for your poppy. There is a collection box in the Club - but donate wherever you are.
David Murray was one of many who gave his life so that we may enjoy our freedom - he deserves your recognition.
