Recently, several players organised a function at the Club to raise funds to purchase a suitable memorial to dedicate to memories of David Murray and Raymond Higgins.
David, a member of the Parachute Regiment, died on active service in 2008 during a tour of duty in Afghanistan; Ray died more recently, having played for the Hornets the day before.
A group of players lead by Ben Blain held a Bar BQ in conjunction with a drawing and auction and raised circa £750. It is intended to purchase benches to be sited in the ground and dedicate them to David and Ray.

It was a worthwhile effort and thanks to all the lads who helped, and a special thanks to those who supported this worth while fund raising.
We look forward to the erection of benches that will provide a useful facility at the Club.
