Friday, 26th June 2009 was the chosen day for Club Captain, Steve Stamper, and his bride, Nichola Beresford-Jones.

After their marriage at Wetheral Parish Church, and the obligatory official photographs, the assembled company moved on to The Crown Hotel, Wetheral for the wedding breakfast and evening celebration.
There they were joined by family, friends and many colleagues from Carlisle RFC.
The weather was kind to the happy couple who, in the evening, entertained their guests to a garden in the grounds of the hotel.
We have stolen a march on “OK” magazine who were bidding for the picture rights of the wedding!
All at Carlisle RFC thank the happy couple for their hospitality and wish them well for a long and happy marriage - although things will get off with a hiccup - Stamps will miss the openin g of pre-season training - apparently Dubai and other exotic locations have a greater pull for the time being!
