Members are advised to take note of the forthcoming road works on Warwick Road, and the affect that this will have on access to the club premises.
Commencing on 4th August, Warwick Road will be closed completely between Broad Street and Greystone Road for up to six weeks to allow for the installation of a new sewer system, something that is necessary following the serious floods of 2005.
We know all about the floods, and whilst there will be substantial inconvenience getting to the club, we welcome the work in the knowledge that it will help to prevent a repetition of the devastation that wrecked the our premises in 2005.
Allow extra time to get to the club – especially on match days – and keep your eyes peeled on the local press and radio for updates. Although the press release from United Utilities, who are doing the work, says that access to premises along the affected stretch of Warwick Road, will be allowed, don’t take it for granted. Past experience of tells us that will not necessarily be the case.
