A recent announcement by the government, that they are going to intervene to stop Ofwat’s rain tax and introduce a sensible water charging regime has been welcomed by the RFU.

This has been welcomed by the RFU and doubtless by the many charities and sports clubs who will benefit from the offer of concessionary rates that will follow this news.

Whilst at Carlisle we were not affected by the rain tax, our neighbours at the Chatsworth Tennis Club, and at Penrith Rugby Club will be delighted that the campaigning has borne fruit.
