Candy League

On paper this was a home fixture for the 2nd XV but because of the poor state of the pitches at Carlisle, the game was switched to the north east to ensure the match went ahead.
Having already beaten Sunderland earlier in the season, it was great to do the double over them.
It was a game of committment, excitement and no little skill.
Callum McSkeane touched down for a try and although Luke Graham managed a penalty, he couldn’t add the conversdion to the try.
