Keep your eyes peeled for further details of a fund raising event in aid of the Eden Valley Hospice in Carlisle.  This follows the sad death of Hannah Jackson, mum of forwards coach Colin Jackson and dear wife of Geoff, who is a member of our rugby committee.

Hannah spent her final days at the hospice and the family were so impressed with the standards of care and compassion, that they have made it their goal to raise funds to assist with the invaluable work that the hospice do.

The hospice need to raise around £5000 a day to maintain their current standards of provision of a facility that, in future, any of us may come to rely on.

Colin said, “As a family we were immensely impressed with the care given to mum, and the compassion shown to all her family and friends, during her stay in the Eden Valley Hospice.  We are very grateful for their support and we would like to repay them in some small way, by raising much needs funds to help them to continue their wonderful caring service.”
