Carlisle U12’s competed in the Alnwick RFC Minis & Juniors tournament last weekend and for the second week in a row just managed to miss out on the finals of the Cup Competition on the toss of a coin having finished joint second in their group.  As a result they played off in the Bowl League again the other runners up Tynedale, Gosforth & Novocastrians.

5 tries against Novos secured the first win, a 1-1 draw against Tynedale and a 1-0 win over Gosforth meant Carlisle were equal top with Tynedale on points.

However Tynedale scored more tries which meant the cumbrians just missed out on the trophy.
A solid performance nevertheless gainst some of the best U12’s in the north of England.
