A pre-requisite to any wedding celebration is the, by now mandatory, stag party.  An evening out on the town with your pals is a thing of past decades apparently!

Bobby Sherlock

Three or four days for the “final fling” seems now to be the norm.  Bobby Sherlock gets married to Emma Borthwick on 28th August…who picked that date the week before the first league match of the season?.

A recent long weekend on the Isle of Man was the choice of our Bobby.  A large number left Carlisle in the obligatory fancy dress, to be joined at their destination by an advance party.

That old adage of “what goes on tour, stays on tour” remains largely intact but there were one or two momentous moments!

Ross Olney has a penchant for wing mirrors; Tom Graham blamed sun stroke for his ill health all day on the Saturday –  but now he’s 21 he realises it was something else that caused his inebriation; Bobby has yet to tell Emma he “mislaid” his ‘phone and camera; Plums was the oldest tourist with Stu Graham at the other end of the scale.  And, we are told that Brummo is the best man ever!  Believe that and you will believe anything.
