Carlisle U13’s had a difficult match at Warwick Road on Sunday 26th September, which resulted in a heavy defeat at the hands of the visitors.

A very strong Vale of Lune team gave a text book display of solid rucking, tackling as well as swift passing & running by the backs when required which opened up the home side’s defence.

Despite this the Carlisle side never gave up and put in a spirited performance but with substitutions due to injuries to key players, they were always going to struggle.

The second half display by Carlisle resulted in more possession at the break down and some determined driving saw them gain territory, but the travelling team were too strong.

A consolation penalty kick by Struan Kyle towards the end of the game, rounded off a character building match for the Cumbrians.

Result:            3 v 47
