Carlisle under 14s travelled to Penrith on 19th September.

Within 5 mins of Carlisle’s start to the season Elliott Baines scores the first try of the match.

Elliott receives the ball outwide on the half way line, chips through and retrieves his own ball to score. James Spencer adds the conversion.

Penrith start to apply pressure through well drilled forwards, but an eventual knock on allows Carlisle to regain possesion sending the ball through the three quarters for Yousef Sahib to score under the posts.

Further handling errors from Penrith give a platform for Carlisle to attack with Yousef again reciveing the ball out wide and scoring. Penrith continue to apply pressure through the forwards and score just before half time.

Penrith kick off, a knock on by Carlisle allows Penrith to apply further pressure which results in a non converted try. A further well worked move through Carlisle three quarters allows for the Full back to join the line, create an overlap and score under the posts.

Pressure from both sides continued, finally a mistake and obstruction from Carlisle gives a penalty try to Penrith. With the score at 26-19 to Carlisle, Carlisle secure the ball just on Penriths 10m line work the ball out wide for Elliott to score in the corner.
