TEAM:                1st XV
MATCH:            Carlisle v Pontefract
(League/Cup/Other):    North 1 East League
RESULT:            16 pts v 24 pts
HALF TIME SCORE:    10 pts v 13 pts

Carlisle have only themselves to blame for this both unexpected and unwanted reverse on home soil against Pontefract.  Fielding a team back to what some would deem to be near full strength, more was anticipated, but it was not to be!

The home side opened fairly brightly and there was optimism that a possible outcome would bring safety at Level 6 for next season.  Instead, they have left themselves fighting for survival.

No excuses, the best side on the day won.
