Carlisle Under 10’s hosted a two game competition against Penrith on Sunday 9th October at the Warwick Road Ground.

Before the kick-off of the first game both teams observed a one minutes silence in memory of Mr Bill Swarbrick, former stalwart of Carlisle Rugby Club.

The first game showed Carlisle’s strength in the forward area which resulted in a two try to nil victory with Euan Forlow scoring both tries.

At Penrith’s request there were no contested scrums in the second game and Carlisle’s Under 10’s less experienced players put in a spirited performance against a strong Penrith team losing three tries to nil.

The under 10’s coach Fraser Fprlow said that the recent games have allowed the under 10’s to grow in confidence and this will see them develop and enjoy success throughout the season.
