Carlisle RFC under 15s first ever trip to Billingham on 17th October saw a very small squad of 16 take the game to the home team and put together a superb performance.
The first 10 minutes looked like going either way before Angus Fulton opened the scoring with a powerful run on a pick and drive. Elliott Baines extended the lead with a wonderful chase down and Sam Windess and Rhys Whitby added further tries which James Spencer converted to make the half time score 24 – 7 to Carlisle.
The second half saw further tries from Windess and Baines, both through use of their speed and a well taken opportunity from Billingham to keep their heads up. Davy Anderson peeled off a scrum to score a fantastic scrum halfs try before Liam Warwick managed to step round 3 players to score his first ever try for the club.
Harry Grant added another with Baines and Windess chipping in again to round off a splendid team effort at 65 – 14 as the final whistle blew.
