Carlisle rugby team beef up at new Flaming grill

The Carlisle Rugby team knew they were onto a winner when they touched down at the new look Gosling Bridge Inn.

For the Kingstown Road pub invited the ‘beefy’ boys to officially re-open the local which has introduced a Flaming Grill menu, following a £300,000 investment.

Gosling Bridge Inn general manager, Barbara Monaghan, said: “It was an honour to welcome the rugby team down to our great new pub. We know the lads love a good steak with a pint and with our improved beverage offer and a new BBQ themed menu, it’s fitting they should be our VIPs.”

Following the investment by owners Spirit Pub Company, the Gosling Bridge Inn has also created 30 new jobs for the town. Barbara added: “We had an overwhelming response to our recruitment campaign before we closed and the calibre of applicants has been extremely high.

“We’ve been able to create a team of bright and enthusiastic individuals and we look forward to working together to make the Gosling Bridge Inn a flaming success!”

The Gosling Bridge Inn Flaming Grill now boasts an authentic chargrill at the heart of its kitchen. The specially adapted menu means that the majority of dishes are served on a sizzling skillet to keep food hot and tasty and add that extra touch of theatre on a plate.

Dishes include a range of steaks, fajitas and the UK’s first sizzling Sunday roast which are dished up on a skillet with traditional trimmings.
