Three under 16 lads from Carlisle represented Cumbria in the new Three Counties (Cumbria, Durham & Northumberland) Under 16 team that overcame Lancashire at Preston on Sunday, 20th November by 24 pts to 17 pts.
Below, left to right, James Robson, Brett Connon and Mark Foster.  (Brett travelled with the team although sadly, he was not able to play, having sustained a double leg fracture in a previous match v Yorkshire.  Doubtless he would have been an automatic selection had he not been injured).

Chairman of Carlisle youth rugby, Ben Blain, who travelled with the team said, “James and Mark both played their part in an entertaining match and justified their selection.”
