Established in 1873, as Carlisle Football Club – (our next door neighbours, Carlisle United FC, didn’t come into being until 1921)! Our first match was a home game against our near neighbours from across the border at Langholm Rugby Football Club.
Carlisle RFC now have over sixteen teams, from our under 7′s to our seniors; including a very successful women’s section.
The team clubhouse boasts some great facilities which can be hired for weddings, christenings, parties, conferences and meetings with a state of the art kitchen and on site parking.
Being only a stones throw from Carlisle city centre, we also offer contract car parking facilities at a very reasonable price.
Membership of Carlisle RFC will also bring added benefits including a discount at the bar which specialises in real cask ales.
